Ride for Dad participation in memory of Mr. Saba Ravishankar
The Motor Cycle Ride for Dad event is held each year to raise funds for prostate cancer research. This event has raised over 1.7 million dollars. This year the event in Ottawa will be held on Saturday, June 02, 2012.
NCRTA's founding president Mr. Saba Ravishankar passed away in April, 2011 after a battle with prostate cancer which certainly has brought the need to find the cure for this dreaded decease close to our hearts. We would like to continue to participate in this year's Ride for Dad in memory of Ravishankar.
A group of friends of Ravi will be riding their bikes to participate in the fund raising under the team name "RAVISHANKAR SABA (Ottawa) " led by former NCRTA board member Mr. Alex Sivasambu.
The community can get involved by pledging donations to one of the listed team members of the team "RAVISHANKAR SABA (Ottawa) at the web site.

Here is how you can pledge online:
Go to the team's profile page given above and click on the pledge button next to the team members' name. Follow the instructions to enter your name, address, phone number, email and pledge amount. Click the "Submit" button. You will be taken to "Verify & Pay" page. At the bottom of the page, enter your credit card information and click on "Click to Pay" button. If you have successfully pledged, you will be taken to the "Confirmation" page.
As stated in the Ride for Dad web, Tax receipts will be automatically issued for donations of $20 or more.
